Septone Rust Prime – Effective Rust Converter & Primer for Metal Surfaces

Septone Rust Prime is a water-based chemical designed to convert rust into an inert black compound while simultaneously priming and sealing metal surfaces. Ideal for preparing rusted surfaces for subsequent priming and topcoating, Rust Prime is perfect for galvanised roofs, ornamental ironwork, fencing, structural steel, gutters, sheds, rusted nuts and bolts, and hand tools. It can also be used in marine applications to provide temporary protection against rust. However, it is not a long-term corrosion-resistant coating and should be followed by primer and topcoat application within 4 weeks.

Key Features:
Water-Based Formula – Safer and easier to apply with no harsh solvents.
Rust Conversion – Transforms rust into an inert black compound for effective treatment.
Prepares Surfaces for Topcoating – Seals and primes the surface to facilitate subsequent coating applications.
Temporary Rust Protection – Provides short-term protection against rust until a full primer and topcoat are applied.
Versatile Application – Suitable for a variety of surfaces, including metal, automotive, and marine applications.

Common Applications:
🔹 Galvanized Roofs & Surfaces – Prepares rusted galvanized surfaces for painting.
🔹 Ornamental Ironwork & Fencing – Restores rusted iron surfaces for refinishing.
🔹 Structural Steel – Prepares rusted steel for further protective coatings.
🔹 Gutters & Sheds – Ideal for rusted surfaces exposed to outdoor elements.
🔹 Nuts, Bolts & Hand Tools – Treats rusted hardware to prevent further corrosion.
