Blue PVA Release Agent is a water based mould release coating used in fibreglass moulding and composite fabrication. When applied to a prepared mould surface, the PVA forms a thin film barrier that prevents polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy resins from bonding to the mould.
After the laminate has cured, the PVA film can be washed away with water, allowing easy release of the finished part while helping protect mould surfaces during production. The blue colour provides visual coverage during application to ensure even coating of the mould surface.
PVA release agents are commonly used in fibreglass mould production, marine fabrication and composite manufacturing, particularly when preparing new moulds or working with complex mould geometries.
KEY FEATURES:
- Creates a thin protective film barrier on mould surfaces
- Blue colour provides visible coverage during application
- Easily removed with water after moulding
- Suitable for polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin systems
COMMON APPLICATIONS:
- Fibreglass mould preparation
- Composite mould production
- Boat building and marine fabrication
- Automotive composite parts
- Industrial fibreglass manufacturing
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Ensure the mould surface is properly prepared and sealed before application. Apply the PVA release agent evenly using a spray gun, sponge or brush to create a continuous film over the mould surface. Allow the coating to dry completely before applying resin or gelcoat.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Use appropriate protective equipment when applying mould release agents. Ensure adequate ventilation when spraying or applying release coatings.
