About this product
Catalyst M200 is a methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) catalyst used to initiate curing in polyester resin systems during fibreglass laminating and composite fabrication. When added to resin, the catalyst triggers the polymerisation process allowing the resin to cure and harden.
M200 catalysts are commonly used in fibreglass repair work, mould production and composite laminating applications where controlled curing at ambient temperatures is required.
KEY FEATURES:
- MEKP catalyst for polyester resin systems
- Initiates curing of polyester laminating resins
- Suitable for fibreglass laminating and repairs
- Compatible with cobalt accelerated resin systems
- Used in composite fabrication and mould production
COMMON APPLICATIONS:
- Fibreglass laminating and repair work
- Composite mould production
- Boat building and marine repairs
- Automotive fibreglass fabrication
- General polyester resin curing
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Add Catalyst M200 to polyester resin according to the resin manufacturer's recommended catalyst ratio. Mix thoroughly to ensure even dispersion before applying the resin system.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
MEKP catalysts are hazardous oxidising chemicals and must be handled with extreme care. Always wear appropriate protective equipment including gloves, eye protection and respiratory protection where required. Never mix MEKP catalyst directly with accelerators such as cobalt compounds.
