Chopped Strand Fibreglass Mat 300gsm

Chopped Strand Fibreglass Mat 300gsm is a lightweight non woven reinforcement material used in fibreglass laminating and composite fabrication. The mat is made from randomly oriented chopped glass fibres bonded together with a resin soluble binder, allowing it to easily conform to mould shapes and complex surfaces during lay up.

The 300gsm weight is ideal for lighter laminates, surface layers and smaller fibreglass repairs where flexibility and easy handling are important. When saturated with polyester or vinyl ester resin, the mat forms a strong reinforcement layer that improves laminate strength and durability.

Supplied in a convenient 1 metre pack, chopped strand matting is widely used in fibreglass repairs, mould production and composite fabrication where consistent reinforcement and smooth laminate finishes are required.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Cut the chopped strand mat to the required size and place onto the prepared surface or mould. Apply resin evenly to fully saturate the fibres and use a laminating roller to remove trapped air and ensure proper consolidation of the laminate.
