About this product
Q-Cell Additive Filler is a lightweight microsphere filler used to modify polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin systems. The hollow microspheres significantly reduce the density of resin mixtures, making it ideal for producing lightweight fairing compounds and easily sanded filler blends in fibreglass fabrication and composite repair work.
Q-Cell filler allows resin mixtures to be thickened without adding excessive weight, making it widely used in marine repairs, composite mould preparation and general fibreglass finishing applications.
KEY FEATURES:
- Lightweight microsphere filler for resin systems
- Reduces weight of resin filler compounds
- Creates smooth fairing and easily sanded filler mixtures
- Suitable for polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin
- Improves workability of resin based fillers
COMMON APPLICATIONS:
- Fibreglass fairing compounds
- Composite mould preparation
- Marine and boat repair work
- Automotive fibreglass repairs
- Lightweight resin filler mixtures
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Gradually add Q-Cell filler to resin while mixing until the desired thickness is achieved. Mix thoroughly to ensure an even distribution of microspheres before adding catalyst or hardener according to the resin manufacturer’s instructions.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Avoid inhaling dust when handling powdered fillers. Use appropriate protective equipment including gloves, eye protection and a dust mask when mixing filler materials.
